About Me

About Me image

Yippee. A chance to write about myself in the third person. It sounds so professional, so polished, so pretentious. Ready? Here goes…

Caryn is an aspiring author who is currently hard at work submitting her third novel, revising her fourth, and writing her fifth. In her spare time she manages a paying job, a house, a husband, and three cats. Lest you think she’s gotten off easy because of the lack of children, she’d like you to know that her cats are a handful. Really.

And, finally, for those looking for common hobbies in the name of digital bonding, her interests include but are not limited to: reading; writing; photography; hiking; white water rafting; quilting; gardening; and, of course, spending time with her friends and family (and those cats). You’ll eventually find them all mentioned in the blog, and some. She hopes that’s good news. She also told me to tell you to have a very nice day and to visit often. Thanks. We knew we could count on you.

Note: All this exhaustive info didn’t satisfy your curiosity? Leave a comment below or e-mail me. Either way, I’ll respond — usually by e-mail. And, of course, don’t forget to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up for e-mail updates. It’s really easy, and you’ll be one of the first to know any time I post something new (usually once or twice a week). And if you want even more, stop by my photo blog, which is updated three times a week!

Four novels and a fifth on the way? Forget the cats! Novels are a handful too!

    Hi Booklady! *grin*

I just had to say that picture is so….suave. Sophisticated. It’s absolutely lovely!

And there’s a cat in it!

Funny thing is, like you, I have three of my own. I know exactly what you mean by them being a handful. I think I will definately be stopping by here more often. *grin*

    Hello!
    Dropping by from WWfW.
You and Pam have inspired me to start using my WordPress site – long before I even attempt to contact an agent….
At this moment, I’d gladly trade my two boys for two additional cats. They’re running around the house leaping despite copious outdoors time. Meanwhile, my cat occupies the chair next to me quite calmly….

Hi Caryn! I linked over to you from Squeetus. Book love + cats = a winning blog, in my opinion.

I looked over the books you’re reading. Nice selection. Not long ago, I was an unpublished writer, too. I finally made it to the next step. May I humbly suggest my novel, An Island Away, for your possible reading list? You can find an excerpt and more about it through my blog at http://www.bentpage.wordpress.com. Thanks for your consideration. It’s a pleasure to have blogs to commiserate about writing.

I think you’re going to do great in the writing industry. It’s just a matter of time and there is so much room for new authors. Just have faith, work hard, and it will all work out! Good luck! :)

    Hey Caryn -
For months I’ve been looking for your business card from RWA Nationals and when I find it, I realize your blog is one I already visit!!!

This is Bria (Fantasy YA). We had lunch with a bunch of your friends where the waitress kept doing things like moving our bags :) and then I snuck away pre-speaker to get some sunshine and air.

    Hope you’re doing well!
